When we were planning our NYC vacation this year I was really searching for internet travel deals on vacation rentals, dining, events, etc. What I discovered was that there are a few good non-scam travel sites, but most simply repeat other site's deals. I also learned the importance of working with professionals, both travel and real estate, to avoid being ripped off in the process of getting my great travel deal.
